The member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore in the Ashanti region has turn his constituency party office into boxing arena, when he furiously directed his anger towards a District Chief Executive.
An eye witness who saw the incident narrated the sad story to FOX FM in Kumasi on friday said that Hon. Afriyie Ayew slapped DCE Madam Mary Marfo on her left neck.
The slapping incident by the MP took place around 9:20 am Friday when the party executives summoned to wait for the president Nana Akufo Addo for the President’s 3 day tour to Ashanti region.
“It took the timely intervention of some constituency executives and some residents around the area present to prevent the situation from escalating further” he added.
According to an eye witness, it was wrong for the MP to slap her own DCE.
DCE Mary Marfo has been admitted at Effiduase government hospital, asked whether she had reported the matter to the police.
President 3 day tour
President Nana Akufo-Addo rounded off a three-day tour of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, promising to do more for the region for continued support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The visit was to afford President Akufo-Addo the opportunity to check projects and cut sword, he pay a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Place. He also assured Asantehene , Kumasi roads will fix soon.
He is optimistic of honouring all his election promises to improve the lives of Ghanaians.
