Amenfiman Rural Bank Limited, with its headquarters at Wassa-Akropong in the Western Region of Ghana has established strong foothold in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital with the opening of its Suame branch.
This brings to three the number of branches in the metropolis within the three year of operations in Kumasi,the Ashanti regional capital.
The bank has branches at Santasi, Abrepo junction and Suame post office .
The bank has been in existence for the past thirty – eight years with many branches in the Western Region.
Dr. Tony Aubynn, Board Chairman, speaking at the opening of the Suame branch yesterday said, the bank was showing consistent growth in its operations and announced that as of August, it had mobilized GH¢150 million in deposits.
Profit on its operations, also shot up from GH¢340,000.00, five years ago, to GH¢10 million, last year.
He said the decision to have a strong presence in the Kumasi was influenced by the fact that the bank’s customers in Sefwi and Enchi, mostly traded in the city.
It was therefore important that it took steps to make it more convenient for them to conduct their business and to save them from the risk of robbery attack.
Dr. Aubynn underlined its determination to provide valuable financial services to help transform the living standards of the people.
They would ensure that their activities positively impacted the lives of the people.
Dr. Alexander Asmah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bank, spoke of the introduction of a “group loan scheme” to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to expand.
He pledged to work hard to sustain it on the path of growth. It would also continue to deploy technology to boost its operations.
