When the NPP assumed office on the 7th of January 2017, I knew the pressure that was going to be on the new President.
I wrote in the Daily Guide asking party people to reduce their expectations from the new government. I said that from deep down my heart. That is the reason why contrary to the expectations of the grassroots NPP in the Western Region and across the nation who appreciate the hard work I put in from 2009 to 2016, I was not mentioned anywhere, I have accepted it without bitterness towards anyone.
I remember also writing subsequently pleading with those who had been lucky enough to have places in government to hold themselves in check and avoid needless scandals which will distract the government from its core duty of shaping this nation.
It is very pathetic to observe that scandals of impropriety by government appointees is gradually making the supposed corruption of the NDC look like a child’s play.
