The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has directed the Auditor-General, Mr. Daniel Yaw Domelovo to proceed on his accumulated leave.
In a released signed by the Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin, the decision is “based on Sections 20(1) and the Labour Act 2003(Act 651) which apply to all workers, including public office holders such as the Audito-General.”
Mr. Domelovo was appointed by the Ex-President John Dramani Mahama in December 2016.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Domelevo, a professional accountant, held numerous high-level positions that included Senior Financial Management Specialist with the World Bank responsible for the PFM project in Zimbabwe and Malawi.
The Deputy Auditor-General, Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu is scheduled to take over in acting position, as Mr. Domelovo begins his 132 leave days on Wednesday July 1, 2020.
