The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly ( KMA) wishes to inform all traders who were relocated from Kejetia to the Acheamfour shops as part of the Kejetia/Central Market Redevelopment Project that it has taken note of the locking up of their shops by the Acheamfour Group Company Limited without recourse to KMA.
The Assembly therefore calls on the affected traders to remain calm as it works towards the re-opening of the shops by the Acheamfour Group Company Ltd to enable them continue with their businesses.
KMA therefore entreats the traders not to take the law into their hands as two wrongs do not make a right.
The Assembly regrets any inconvenience that the locking up of the shops might have caused and wishes to emphasize that all necessary steps are also being taken to settle the differences between the Assembly and Acheamfour Group Company Ltd as soon as practicable.
This was indicated in a press release copied to foxfmonline.com by the public relations officer of the Assembly, Godwin Okumah Nyame.
