Minority members on the Health Committee of Parliament, went on a fact-finding tour of some hospitals facilities which were started by the formal government.
Ranking Member,on select committee on Health in parliament who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Juaboso in the Western North Region,Kwabena Mintah Akando, who leads the team to tour those abandoned facilities described the government’s posture towards the projects as ”wikedness”and ”waste of the tax payer’s resources”.
The Minority in Parliament has served notice it will soon summon the health Minister before the house,to demand answers on why the government had abandoned works on some hospitals projects in the Ashanti Region started by the previous Mahama-Led administration.
But the Director General of Ghana Health Service,Dr. Nsaih Asare has described the move by the minority as being political than showing concern.
Speaking on fox morning drive,Dr Nsiah Asare says his office has promised to see to the completion of those hospitals and has started working on that.
He said work has began on some of the hospitals due to the hard work of this office and if the minority was really concern as they said, they should have visited all the hospital project but not being selective.
