Kumasi Asante Kotoko is desperately waiting for star striker Sogne Yacouba’s return to camp ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup campaign, but the Burkinabe’s ill health has proven worrying as doctors say tests have been carried on the striker but all efforts to identify the exact sickness have fallen on rocks.
According to reports, the deadly finisher has moved from the capital of Burkina Faso Ouagadougou to the nation’s second capital Bobo-Dioulasso to seek spiritual intervention.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been expecting Yacouba in camp in Takoradi after the club permitted him to go and permit his marriage ceremony, but his return has been dealt a major blow as his health has proven unstable with mystery.
Yacouba is part of Kotoko’s 27-man squad registered for the 2018/2019 CAF Confederations Cup campaign in which the Ghanaian side have been drawn against a Cameroonian opponent, the club which will be confirmed after current Cameroon league season ends.
