The president of the republic of Ghana, president Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has refused to accept the anti-Peace tag of the Muslims communities but rather see them as fearlessly loyal to one another.
President Nana Addo who has lived in peace with Muslims for decades since his childhood describes Muslims as peaceful and tolerance who only obey the commandments of the founder of Islam, Prophet Mohamed which says, “a Muslim is a brother of another Muslim so therefore he not oppress him” this quote has been the attitude of Muslim over the years, he added
President Akufo-Addo made this known on Tuesday, 8th January, 2019, when he delivered a speech at the maiden edition of Zongo for Peace and Development Conference, an initiative of the Ministry of Inner City and Zongo Development in Kumasi.
His statement is as a results of the recent happenings in the zongo communities, the clash between the Asawasi Muslim youth and some section of the Ashanti regional police force and recent attack on Prophet Owusu Bempeh’s church after his doom prophecy on the national chief imam.
These and many happenings of Muslims have left some section of Ghanaian tagging Muslims as Anti-peace and violence which according to Nana Addo is not true and can never be true.
