The minister of roads, Mr. Kwasi Amoako Atta has assured the inhabitants of Kumasi that “all deplorable roads in the city will be put into good shape soon.
He further noted that work will also commence earnestly on the Sofoline interchange project.
Responding to the questions pertaining to the Sofoline interchange project, he revealed that the project which was stalled under the previous administration,was a burden on the government but now they have been ask to make funds available to the China Geo construction firm for its completion within the next 5 months.
Mr. Amoako Atta gave the assurance during a press interaction on the sideline of the government’s Town Hall meeting in Kumasi held at the Great Hall of KNUST, on Tuesday.
“China Geo will be on site until the project is done” he promised.
According to the roads minster, completing the project will further ease the traffic commuters experience during morning and evening rush hour periods.
